As of this month, I have identified 2,211 direct descendants of James Lawrence and Kizziah Wade. (That number goes up to 3,474 if you include spouses.) And really I've just gotten started identifying the next generation of living descendants. I'm guessing that number will be well above 5,000 before we are finished.

And, of course, as long as there are people getting married and babies being born, that number will just keep on growing. Which really is rather exciting. Wherever they are, I hope James and Kizziah are proud of their posterity and pleased with our small attempts to connect with them and with one another generations later.
